Who We ARE

RHONUG.org – Raising Hope of the Needy Uganda – is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children through love, care, and empowerment. Founded by Patrick Mubiru, with the support of Magezi Denise and Nabiira Irene, RHONUG was established eight years ago in Mwenda Bbira to provide a safe haven for children in desperate situations. The journey began with the rescue of three children: a 3-year-old boy abandoned on the streets and left lying helpless by the roadside, and two siblings found after three days in an abandoned house—crying, starving, and severely neglected. Moved by these heartbreaking encounters, the founders vowed to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children, offering them a second chance at life. Since its inception, Raising Hope of the Needy Uganda has grown to care for 30 children, providing: • Shelter: A safe and loving home where children feel protected and supported. • Food: Nutritious meals to ensure their health and well-being. • Education: Access to quality education to unlock their potential. • Medical Care: Ensuring every child receives proper healthcare. • Clothing and Shoes: Fulfilling basic needs with dignity and respect.
